Introduction

Respiratory or Inhalation Therapy Services refer to non-surgical support treatment that  improves blood oxygenation in patients who have, or may develop, respiratory tract illness or complications.

Assuring that a patient is adequately oxygenated may include everything from percussive massage to invasive ventilator support.

On staff is a respiratory technician specializing in proper management of physicians’orders, according to the characteristics of each patient and his or her particular illness.

Information

Respiratory therapy is useful for those patients whose oxygen saturation is below 85%, and as a support during any surgical procedure that directly or indirectly compromises respiratory function.

Tachycardia, blue fingers or lips, as well as difficulty breathing and shortness of breath, may be reasons for consulting a physician who will prescribe the appropriate therapy.
