Introduction
Rehabilitation Medicine is a specialization that serves and treats patients by assessing their intellectual and motor capabilities.
Once the patient has been diagnosed, the team of specialists works toward his or her physical, psychological, social and family readaptation; addressing elements of mental wellness and speech, motor skills and mobility.
Rehabilitation encompasses various practices for the patient’s reintegration into daily life: massage, gymnastic exercise, electrology, hydrotherapy, sports, physical education, manual medicine, prosthetics and orthotics.
